What a year this has been. We are more aware of brokenness than ever before. There has been so much loss and uncertainty and suffering.
We yearn for normality and wholeness - both for the world and for our own souls.
The High Holy Days come around each year, whether we are ready or not. This year will be radically different than any other before.
The ancient call of the shofar - deep, urgent, broken, and whole - beckons us to come “home”.
More than ever, how we prepare ourselves spiritually might be more meaningful than ever.
This three-session course with Rabbi Jill provides a map for this journey.
Each session includes core themes from Jewish tradition that illuminate the path plus mindfulness practices to deepen your experience. We’ll draw insights from ancient texts as well as modern poetry and song.

When your foundations have been shaken, it is just this that can crack you open to profound possibility and change. The Jewish High Holy Day season can be seen as a journey from brokenness to wholeness.

For whom?
This course is for anyone who is interested in journeying through this time with other spiritual seekers. I teach primarily but not exclusively from a Jewish spiritual perspective, and everyone is welcome. You don't have to be Jewish or Jewishly-knowledgeable. We create a beautiful and supportive community together.
When?
Three consecutive Thursdays, at your preferred time of day:
- August 27, 2020
- September 3 & 10
- 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Pacific
(12:30 pm Eastern) - 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
(8:00 pm Eastern)
Each session is offered live so that you have real-time with Rabbi Jill, a creative and warm teacher who relates to people at all stages of their spiritual journey. It is also recorded in case you can't attend live.
Each session includes:
- A core centering story from Jewish tradition that illuminates a foundational principle to hang onto.
- A spiritual practice (meditation, guided intentions, prayer) to deepen your experience.
- Poetry and music that speak to the issues in creative ways.
- Handouts that you will want to save - they include all the texts, poetry and space for journaling.
- Private Facebook group for further discussion and resources.
- Recordings of each session if you can’t attend live.
- Choice of two separate times to accommodate different time zones.
