Repro Shabbat Meditation
February 21, 2025

Reproductive freedom is a Jewish value. National Council of Jewish Women hosts Repro Shabbat annually on the Shabbat when we read Parshat Mishpatim, which contains the verses commonly used as the foundation of Judaism’s approach to reproductive health, rights, and justice. In these challenging times, we are as committed as ever to exploring these issues.
Please register to join us on Friday, Feb 21st, for our Repro Shabbat event. We invite you to join in community, to pause in the collective, and to honor the Jewish value of reproductive freedom.
Refugee Shabbat Meditation
February 28, 2025

Join us on Friday, February 28th, for Refugee Shabbat where we will seek to heal the soul of our country from the images that we have seen of children being separated from their parents, people sleeping on concrete floors with mylar blankets, ICE removing individuals from their places of business – all for the crime of seeking a better life.
To those of us with immigrant stories and those for whom the biblical commandment to “love, welcome, and house the stranger” is core, this has been gut-wrenching.
What does healing look like? This is also a long process. We have to re-envision our nation, the wealthiest in the world, as a place of kindness and welcome. We have to investigate the wrongdoing, hold those accountable who have perpetrated crimes against humanity
