The Journey You Did Not Choose Can Be A Path of Self-Discovery
A 4-session course with Rabbi Jill on how to begin to make sense of this journey into the unknown and to use this time to discover more about who you are and can be.
The time after Passover, in the Jewish tradition, is a seven-week period of the journey from slavery to freedom and wholeness. This season is called the Omer.
The metaphors of this time period are rich with deep meaning that applied to our own journeys, can be transformational.
Collectively and individually, this time is an opportunity to wrestle with leaving the known and journeying into the unfamiliar.
This year, 2020, we have all been thrust into a journey we did not choose. And yet, here we are. None of us knows exactly how this journey will end.
But what we can do right now, is to plant the seeds for our renewal by using this time to discover more about ourselves.
So many of us are fearful, worried and anxious. Our mortality and that of our loved ones is so present right now. This is quite the wilderness.
In this course, we will talk about how to mine the experiences of your life to discover your hidden strengths. We will look together at how to find meaning in this unpredictable time.
This course will include wisdom texts, poetry, and meditation. We will have a private Facebook group for discussion.
