In times of uncertainty, it is good to revisit what you trust. Times are shaky and it might feel out of control, because actually, a lot IS out of our control.
Sometimes what we believe we can count on actually falls apart. But there are things that are certain.
Make your own list, write a poem, talk to a friend about what you believe in. Here’s my list in this moment:
I trust that the sun will come up –
I believe that kindness comes from unknown places –
Sometimes I round a corner to encounter a rose I didn’t expect, or a plant growing right out of the crack in the cement.
I trust that a child’s smile and a new puppy ignites a light in my heart.
I am sure that when everything hurts, there is one bone in my body that is pain-free.
I believe that when I pull a favorite book off the shelf, a photo of a sweet memory may fall into my hands – or I might open to a page that has just the perfect wisdom for the moment.
I trust that day follows night.
I believe that when the sun sets with a rainbow gift of colors, a bird flies in my heart.
I trust that there are lines of connection that will be revealed (often way after the fact) but I know they will come.
What do you trust? Please respond in the comments.

I trust that my sweet dog will wake me at 7am with a lick and wagging her tail, happy im up to feed her, let her out and play.

I trust that God loves me! I trust that my family and friends love me as I love them. I trust that the sun will rise tomorrow and no matter how bad things might be this too shall pass. I trust that happiness is always the best choice and when In doubt, sing something, make something, knit something or cook something.
