For the 31st day of the Omer: Radiance within Humility (Tiferet within Hod)

Each day counts.  Today (starting tonight) is the 31st day of the Omer: April 26.  As we walk together, getting closer and closer to being open enough to receive wisdom – today we look at the unique combination of Tiferet (Beauty) within Hod (humility/sincerity.)  Because each sefirah (quality) of the tree of life has multiple meanings, sometimes it’s challenging to know what the particular daily combination calls us to examine.  Today – perhaps it’s about noticing the radiance and beauty within true humility.  As Alan Morinis points out in his beautiful book Everyday Holiness, humility is about really understanding our “place and space” in any situation.  When we really “get” that, it is lovely.  We speak up when necessary, and remain silent when we know other voices need to be heard.  We share the space.  When we do this with sincerity, it is quite exquisite to behold.  (and by the way if you are in California, have you noticed the roses bursting into bloom?)
