Shabbat At the Lights 4 Liberty Vigil

People Get Ready

People get ready, there’s a train a comin’
You don’t need no baggage, you just get on board
All you need is faith, to hear the diesels hummin’
Don’t need no ticket, you just thank the Lord

So people get ready, for the train to Jordan
Picking up passengers coast to coast
Faith is the key, open the doors and board ’em
There’s hope for all, among those loved the most

There ain’t no room for the hopeless sinner
Whom would hurt all mankind, just to save his own
Have pity on those whose chances grow thinner
For there is no hiding place, against the kingdom’s throne

So people get ready there’s a train a comin’
You don’t need no baggage, you just get on board
All you need is faith, to hear the diesels hummin’
Don’t need no ticket, you just thank the Lord

Hinei Ma Tov

Hineh ma tov uma na’im

Shevet achim gam yachad.

Hineh ma tov uma na’im

Shevet achim gam yachad.

How good and pleasant it is

For brothers & sisters to sit together.

How good and pleasant it is

For brothers & sisters to sit together.

Lecha Dodi

לְכָה דוֹדִי לִקְרַאת כַּלָּה. פְּנֵי שַׁבָּת נְקַבְּלָה:

Lecha dodi likrat kala, p’nei Shabbat n’kabelah!

Come, my Beloved, to meet the bride; let us welcome the presence of the Sabbath.

What a Wonderful World

I see trees of green, red roses too

I see them bloom for me and you

And I think to myself what a wonderful world

I see skies of blue and clouds of white

The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night

And I think to myself what a wonderful world

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky

Are also on the faces of people going by

I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do

They’re really saying I love you

I hear babies crying, I watch them grow

They’ll learn much more than I’ll never know

And I think to myself what a wonderful world

Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world

Esa Einai

My help will come from the Lord above

Maker of all, heaven and earth (2x)

Shema

Listen Israel, Adonai

Our God is One. (2X)

Shema Yisrael Adonai Eloheinu Adonai Echad

Baruch shem kavod malchuto l’olam va-ed

Let My People Go

When Israel was in Egypt’s land,
Let My people go!
Oppressed so hard they could not stand,
Let My people go!

Refrain:
Go down, Moses,
Way down in Egypt’s land;
Tell old Pharaoh
To let My people go!

No more shall they in bondage toil,
Let My people go!
Let them come out with Egypt’s spoil,
Let My people go!

Refrain

You need not always weep and mourn,
Let My people go!
And wear these slav’ry chains forlorn,
Let My people go!

Refrain

Your foes shall not before you stand,
Let My people go!
And you’ll possess fair Canaan’s land,
Let My people go!

Refrain

Hashkiveinu

Hashkiveinu, Adonai Eloheinu l’shalom v’ha’amideinu malkeinu l’chai’im. Ufros aleinu sukat shlomeicha, v’tak’neinu b’eitzah tovah milfaneicha

U’fros aleinu sukat shlomeicha, baruch atah Adonai, hapores sukat shalom aleinu v’al kol ha’olam.

Lay us down to sleep our G-d in the shelter of your peace and may you raise us up again our King to life. (repeat.)  Safeguard our wanderings with your presence for life and for peace both now and for eternity.

ONE DAY

All my life I’ve been waiting for

I’ve been praying for

For the people to say

That we don’t wanna fight no more

There will be no more wars

And our children will play

One day

Sometimes in my tears I drown

But I never let it get me down

So when negativity surrounds

I know someday it’ll all turn around because one day…

(Matisyahu, One Day)

Oseh Shalom

Messengers of the Most High,

Sent by the sovereign, the sovereign of all sovereigns,

The Holy One, whom we bless.

Come in peace, angels of peace,

Messengers of the Most High,

Sent by the sovereign, the sovereign of all sovereigns,

The Holy One, whom we bless.

Bless me with peace, angels of peace,

Messengers of the Most High,

Sent by the sovereign, the sovereign of all sovereigns,

The Holy One, whom we bless.

May the angel Michael be at my right,

And the angel Gabriel be at my left,

And in front of me the angel Uriel,

And behind me the angel Raphael,

And above my head the Shekhinah
