The focus of this week, as we count our way to receiving wisdom, is the quality of Netzach. In Hebrew, netzach means eternity, victory and endurance. Each day this week, we look at this quality through the lens of another aspect of the Tree of Life.
Today, Thursday April 18 is Gevurah within Netzach, Day 23 of Counting the Omer. These two qualities have to do with discipline, perseverance, and the strength to stay committed to one’s passions. An intention for today: What do I need to keep in front of me to stay committed to my vision? Friends who remind me when I get off track? Post-it notes on my computer? A book by my bedside that calls to me to remember when I wake up or go to sleep? It’s different for everyone. Today, please help me stay focused on the big picture of who I am supposed to be in this world, even while involved in the mundane details of life. Amen.
