I have a prediction. If you think the last two years have been wild, hold on to your hat. Things are about to get much more rocky. Can you feel it?
Even if you wanted to shelter yourself from the upcoming hearings, investigations and reckoning with truth and justice, I predict there will be shake-ups felt in every corner of this land.
In turbulent times, you need an anchor. We all do. We must be tethered to practices that keep us centered and stable while everything around us swirls with uncertainty.
Lucky for you and me, we have inherited a tradition that has survived enormous challenges. That’s why we are still here today.
One major reason is having a set of practices that anchor us. Central among those are rituals that bookend our days.
In January, I’m teaching Daily Spiritual Practices for Waking Up and Going to Sleep online (January 8 & 22, 6 pm Pacific).
I’ve designed some easy-to-follow but profound rituals that are based in Jewish morning and bedtime practices, to which I’ve added poetry and insight from modern spiritual teachers.
The handouts themselves are an incredible resource.
Best of all, there’s a community to learn with. If accountability helps in maintaining your practice, you can find it in community.
Join me, join Hineni, come be part of this community as we journey through the uncertain waters ahead. Click here for all the information.
Register today so you know you have a plan going into 2019.
